Docker run command

The docker run command is for making a new container

#You can use the forward slash \ to run long commands in the terminal docker run \ --rm \ -it \ richuncleskeleton/mcstatus \ /bin/bash
Code language: Bash (bash)
  • –rm is for removing the container after we exit it.
  • -i in -it is for interactive mode
  • -t in -it is for a terminal
  • richuncleskeleton/mcstatus is the image we are using https://hub.docker.com/r/richuncleskeleton/mcstatus
  • Finaly the /bin/bash is so we get the bash shell
